BRILLION OPTIMIST CLUB
History of the Optimist Organization
Nationally, the first club was founded in Buffalo, New Yourk in 1911. The Brillion Chapter was chartered in 1968.
Brillion is currently has a roster of 55 members. Our chapter is grouped in a "Zone" with neighboring clubs: Hilbert/Potter, Chilton, New Holstein, Kiel, and Sherwood/Darboy.
Wisconsin hosts 125 clubs as part of Optimist International.
Optimist International reports 105,000 individuals belonging to more than 3,200 clubs.
Optimists conduict 65,000 service projects each year serving six million young people.
Optimists also spend $78 million on their communities annually. Locally, the Brillion Club returns an average of $8,000 to local programs and projects.
